Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District modernizes wastewater operations for 1 million residents with RoviSys

The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD), a major wastewater utility in Ohio, faced aging and disparate control systems that hindered operational efficiency and training. To achieve its vision for elite automation, the NEORSD engaged vendor RoviSys to implement a modern, standardized process control architecture using the AVEVA System Platform software suite.

RoviSys designed and deployed an enterprise-wide AVEVA solution, including System Platform and Historian, integrated with new Rockwell Automation hardware. This standardized system provided real-time data, reusable engineering templates, and a unified operator interface across three treatment plants. The results included streamlined training, improved operator engagement, more efficient maintenance, and a scalable foundation for future advanced technologies.
