Abbott saves 5% to 10% on annual energy costs with RoviSys

Abbott, a global leader in health products, sought to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs at its Casa Grande manufacturing facility. They wanted to harness data from their plant-floor control systems for process analytics and partnered with RoviSys, through its RoviSys Building Technologies division, to evaluate ICONICS Fault Detection and Diagnostics (FDD) technology.

RoviSys implemented the FDD solution in the Microsoft Azure cloud, configuring over 1,600 real-time tags to monitor equipment. The system provided real-time fault notifications and cost analysis, enabling operators to quickly identify and address issues. As a result, Abbott achieved an estimated 5% to 10% in annual energy savings, improved maintenance prioritization, and identified opportunities to expand the solution to other facilities.
