A Routific Case Study
Spring Hope Food Drive is a Vancouver-based annual volunteer event that collects over 20,000 pounds of food from nearly 200 apartment buildings. Organizer Landon Goold faced a major logistics challenge: manual route planning already took hours and would have required 30 cars and 15.5 driving hours to complete the collection. He turned to Routific and its route optimization solution (Routific’s Routing Engine) to find a more efficient approach.
Routific’s Routing Engine optimized all routes in about three minutes, reducing the fleet need to 22 cars and driving time to 9.7 hours—saving 5.8 driving hours, 37% in fuel, and $1,640 in a single day. The solution also removed eight cars from the road and cut planning time from hours to minutes, delivering measurable efficiency gains for Spring Hope Food Drive.
