Case Study: GeoCo achieves optimized gritting and waste-collection routes with RouteSmart Technologies

ISL partner GeoCo employs RouteSmart for waste collection consultancy projects in The Netherlands

GeoCo, an Integrated Skills partner in the Netherlands, faced the challenge of optimising municipal gritting and waste/recycling collection to raise recycling rates and improve operational efficiency. To meet these high-density, property-level routing needs (managing container types, counts and street parameters), GeoCo employed RouteSmart Technologies’ RouteSmart for ArcGIS.

RouteSmart Technologies implemented RouteSmart for ArcGIS, leveraging ArcGIS’s visual geospatial view and RouteSmart’s world‑class algorithms to produce door-by-door, street-by-street optimal routes based on user-defined parameters. The solution enabled GeoCo to deliver more efficient, balanced rounds with more accurate ETAs and the operational benefits RouteSmart Technologies is known for—reduced mileage and fleet requirements, shorter planning time and improved service delivery supporting recycling objectives.
