DX Group Improved Efficiencies and Reduced Costs by 10%

DX Group, a leading UK and Ireland parcel, courier and logistics provider, faced challenges forecasting resource availability across depots and reconciling historical handheld scanner data with true delivery locations due to out-of-date address information. They also needed to route deliveries within strict time windows and coordinate depot sort timings without disrupting customer service. To address this they selected RouteSmart for ArcGIS from RouteSmart Technologies, working with partner Integrated Skills Limited (ISL) to build an in-house optimisation capability.

Working with ISL, DX Group implemented RouteSmart for ArcGIS, combined with cloud-based HERE routing data, thorough data cleansing, postcode-sector planning and automated project setup; staff received training and mentoring to embed new processes. The RouteSmart Technologies solution enabled modelling across ~420,000 weekly stops and delivered a 10–12% reduction in costs and routes across all 32 depots, achieving the savings target and a smooth operational transition.
