Controlling Costs Keeps Customers Happy

Croatian Post, the national postal operator in Croatia with about 10,000 employees, more than 1,000 offices, and 38 million parcels delivered annually, needed to stabilize its core business by streamlining transportation and cutting delivery and distribution costs. To do this it deployed an Esri ArcGIS-based system that includes GDi GISDATA’s ENSEMBLE Fleet and RouteSmart Technologies’ advanced routing technology to improve planning and monitoring of parcel delivery operations.

Using RouteSmart Technologies’ routing alongside ENSEMBLE Fleet and ArcGIS, Croatian Post gained real-time vehicle tracking for over 3,000 vehicles, automated expense and per diem calculations, and daily optimized distribution. RouteSmart’s routing plus the integrated platform reduced vehicle misuse, increased fleet efficiency, and delivered significant fuel and cost savings—freeing up funds to reinvest in service and keep customers satisfied.
