Delivering No-show Rates 5x Better Than the National Average

MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper University Health System needed a better way to get oncology patients to chemotherapy, radiation, and rehabilitation appointments, since transportation barriers were contributing to missed care. Roundtrip provided a medical transportation coordination platform to streamline ride scheduling for social workers and care coordinators.

With Roundtrip, MD Anderson Cooper cut ride booking time from about 20 minutes to 60–90 seconds, saving over 1,000 staff hours and more than $44,500 in employee time. The program also reduced direct transportation costs by 30%, lowered no-show rates to just 4%, and delivered about $22,000 in no-show-related savings, for total savings of $66,500.
