Atlanticare Focuses in on Eliminating Transportation Barriers With Roundtrip

AtlantiCare partnered with Roundtrip to address a major challenge for many Atlantic City residents: transportation barriers that make it harder to access care. To support patients in need, AtlantiCare needed a reliable way to coordinate rides to its facilities and specialists, both for planned visits and urgent needs.

Using Roundtrip’s digital transportation marketplace, AtlantiCare coordinated pre-scheduled and on-demand rides, including rideshare and medical sedans, for patients traveling to and from care. The program delivered measurable impact, including a 76% decrease in ER visits, a 65% reduction in acute length of stay, a 6% increase in patient appointment adherence in the first three months, and 84% of surveyed patients saying Roundtrip improved their quality of life.
