Case Study: York University achieves a streamlined preventive maintenance program with Roth IAMS

York University tags 18,000 assets in 18 months with Roth IAMS

York University needed to increase its focus on preventative maintenance to reduce costs and disruption from demand maintenance, but lacked the internal capacity to build the necessary program. In 2018, the university partnered with Roth IAMS to develop this program.

Roth IAMS completed a detailed inventory of over 100 buildings, applying over 18,000 unique asset tags and matching the equipment data with specific preventative maintenance tasks. This data was uploaded into York's Maximo system, enabling the creation and dispatch of effective PM work orders. Roth IAMS also provided training to ensure the university's dataset remains accurate over time.
