Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo tags 5,000+ assets and assesses 112 buildings with Roth IAMS

The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, a municipal government in Northern Alberta, owned over 200 diverse buildings but faced challenges including incomplete equipment inventories, a lack of preventative maintenance plans, and outdated building condition data. To address this, they engaged vendor Roth IAMS to conduct building condition assessments and create a detailed equipment inventory.

Roth IAMS used visual sampling techniques and their SLAM Equipment Manager tool to assess building conditions and tag over 5,000 pieces of equipment on site. The solution delivered detailed equipment data sheets and preventative maintenance plans in Excel for integration into the client's CMMS, alongside updated condition reports for 112 buildings. This provided the municipality with reliable, updated data and an enhanced template for all future facility assessments.
