Durham Catholic District School Board approves a 3-year capital plan with Roth IAMS

The Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) faced a challenge in getting approval for its annual capital plan, a process that was lengthy and inefficient. They also sought to better utilize Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) data provided by the Ontario Ministry of Education. To address this, DCDSB partnered with vendor Roth IAMS for their facilities asset management services.

Roth IAMS developed a multi-year capital planning tool in Excel that organized the FCA data into a prioritized three-year plan. They also created a "Road Map" to clearly communicate the decision-making process. The solution was presented to the Board and the capital plan was approved with minimal feedback. As a result of this successful engagement, Roth IAMS has continued to provide ongoing planning and asset management support to DCDSB for years.
