City of Portland plans $30M+ expo renovation with Roth IAMS

The City of Portland was considering a major investment to modernize its historic Exposition Building but first needed to understand the facility's overall condition and structural integrity to determine if such an investment was worthwhile. They retained Roth IAMS to conduct a comprehensive Facility Condition Assessment supported by a detailed structural analysis.

Roth IAMS deployed a multidisciplinary team that used STAAD Structural Analysis and SLAM Capital Asset Management software to complete the assessments. The analysis revealed the building requires significant investment, with an Opinion of Probable Costs estimating over $30 million in work. Roth IAMS provided the city with a defensible, data-driven foundation to confidently guide its capital renewal decisions and public consultations regarding the building's future.
