The City of Calgary faced the challenge of managing its large and aging infrastructure base, requiring robust data to inform its capital planning decisions. To address this, they partnered with vendor Roth IAMS to conduct detailed condition assessments across their diverse portfolio of civic buildings.

Roth IAMS implemented a thorough process, beginning with a pilot report to align on deliverables, and utilized their SLAM CAP tool to efficiently capture on-site data. This solution resulted in the completion of over 90 condition assessments, with information formatted for easy upload into the city's asset management software. The successful partnership was expanded, with Roth IAMS also being awarded a separate two-year contract to assess all community association buildings in Calgary.
