Carleton University inventories 4,800 assets with Roth IAMS

Carleton University partnered with Roth IAMS to develop an extensive equipment inventory and tagging system alongside a robust preventative maintenance program. The challenge was to accurately catalog the university's vast and diverse array of assets to streamline maintenance operations and enhance tracking across its many facilities.

Roth IAMS implemented its SLAM Prevent solution, inventorying and tagging approximately 4,800 unique pieces of equipment across 40 buildings. They matched this inventory data with specific preventative maintenance tasks, generating thousands of individual work orders for export into the university's CMMS. The results included increased operational efficiency, reduced downtime, optimized resource allocation, and the ability to extend the lifespan of critical assets, providing a more conducive environment for students and staff.
