The smell of scheduling success with The Perfume Shop

The Perfume Shop, part of A.S. Watson and the UK’s largest specialist fragrance retailer with over 220 stores and around 2,000 staff, grew rapidly from its 1992 beginnings but struggled with manual workforce processes. Paper rotas and an in-house, largely manual time-and-attendance system led to unfilled shifts, no central visibility for head office, and a cumbersome experience for employees requesting holidays or finding cover.

Rotageek implemented a digital scheduling and timesheet solution that centralised rostering, automated starter/leaver processes and put a branded scheduling app in managers’ and staff pockets. The change gave head office a single view of staffing, made filling gap shifts simple, and saved store managers at least three hours a week on scheduling.
