Adyen, the global fintech payments company, needed a way to handle more than 100,000 invoice pages a year across 23 countries with a centralized 12-person AP team in Amsterdam. As the company grew, manual processing became unsustainable, and Adyen looked for an intelligent document automation solution that could support multiple languages, currencies, and document formats while reducing errors and keeping payments on time. Rossum was selected to help automate invoice processing and connect with Adyen’s finance systems.

Rossum implemented an end-to-end invoice automation solution integrated first with Workday and later with Coupa, adding duplicate checks, tax and cost center coding, PO matching, IBAN validation, and supplier matching. The results included 70% invoice automation, 93.4% average extraction accuracy, a 20.5% reduction in errors, and a 40% reduction in AP staff to 7 FTEs, while still processing invoices on time across 23 countries.
