Morrisons, Britain’s fourth-largest supermarket group, needed an English training program for Manufacturing and Logistics colleagues—many from Eastern Europe—with only basic English. The goal was to boost colleague confidence, increase engagement, improve health-and-safety communication, and open pathways to new roles within the company.

Morrisons Academy implemented Rosetta Stone Foundations for Business, a self-paced, interactive program with lessons, games, live tutoring and mobile access available at work and home. After 180 days learners improved literacy and IT skills, with 20% reaching high-intermediate, 40% low-intermediate and 40% advanced-beginner levels; colleagues began applying for new positions and on-site communication and compliance—especially in health and safety—improved.
