How Rootstock Software helped one manufacturer replace inefficient manual processes with Cloud ERP automation

Northeast Lantern is a handcrafted brass and copper lighting manufacturer in Exeter, NH, with about 45 employees and $3.5M in annual revenue. Rapid growth exposed limits of their spreadsheet-driven operations—over 25,000 SKUs, no single database, no inventory control or cycle counting, inconsistent BOMs and part numbers, and slow, manual reporting—which threatened their ability to scale and manage heavy product customization (about 20% custom).

They selected Rootstock Cloud ERP on the Salesforce platform to consolidate data and automate processes. After intensive data cleanup and adopting a subassembly/finished-goods production model, they now use Rootstock modules for engineering, MRP, shop floor, inventory, purchasing and sales orders.
