Messe Berlin, the organizer of the Smart Country Convention (SCCON), faced the challenge of moving its event for public sector digitization to a fully digital format in 2020, a necessity that required a new and effective virtual event solution. The company turned to the vendor rooom to utilize their event platform, seeking a user-friendly and intuitive tool to host a successful online conference.

Rooom developed a powerful, demand-oriented digital event platform for SCCON, providing exhibitor self-service profiles, networking functions, and live streaming capabilities. The solution was successfully reused for the 2021 event, efficiently accommodating a last-minute shift back to a digital format. The results were impressive, with the 2020 edition attracting over 10,000 participants and the 2021 event engaging 7,600+ attendees, 160+ speakers, and 90+ partners, establishing SCCON as a pioneer for virtual and hybrid congresses.
