Fairground Festival, an electronic music event, aimed to expand its reach and create a barrier-free community while navigating pandemic-related uncertainties for its event in Hannover. They partnered with the vendor rooom to implement a hybrid event strategy using the rooomEvents platform.
rooom provided a solution by creating a digital twin of the exhibition hall for a virtual pre-party and an on-site augmented reality experience via a rooomPortal. The results were an enormous reach with over 1.6 million social media impressions, international press attention, and a sold-out live event. The hybrid strategy successfully expanded their audience globally and established them as pioneers with a unique format in the festival industry.
