Roomex Workforce Travel Management Platform Still Delivering Savings for Musgrave After Eight Years

Musgrave Group, a leading food retail and wholesale company, faced fragmented, time-consuming accommodation processes across its five divisions that left it without clear visibility or control over spend and hotel relationships. To centralise booking, reporting and payments while protecting negotiated rates, Musgrave Group adopted Roomex’s workforce hotel booking, management and payment platform, going live in June 2012.

Roomex implemented a customised, standardised portal that rate-compares every booking, manages contracting and payments, and provides live reporting and self-service for staff, driving immediate efficiency and cost control. Within a year Roomex had booked 452 hotels in 135 cities across nine countries, onboarded 525 authorised bookers, delivered 19% measured savings versus standard rates, and provided 100% uptime with zero booking or transaction fees, while outsourcing hotel negotiation and improving VAT and reporting compliance.
