Musgrave Group, one of Ireland’s largest privately owned companies (brands include SuperValu, Centra, Londis and Budgens), faced fragmented and uncontrolled accommodation spend across five divisions with no central booking platform or accurate reporting. To tighten “goods not for resale” controls and protect preferred-hotel relationships, Musgrave selected Roomex and its Roomex for Business hotel booking solution to deliver a bespoke, company-branded central booking gateway.

Roomex built and launched the Musgrave Hotel Booking Gateway, embedding preferred hotels, training 525 corporate bookers and enforcing policy so expenses are only refunded when booked through the portal. As a result, by the first year Musgrave had access to 150,000+ hotels, 452 hotels booked across 135 cities in 9 countries, instant visibility by person/division, zero booking fees, and measured savings of 19% against standard rates—plus 100% uptime, outsourced hotel contracting, VAT compliance and significant time savings thanks to Roomex.
