SSE plc, a multinational energy company based in Perth, Scotland, faced a major parking shortage with 3,500+ employees competing for just 1,200 spaces. Using Ronspot Parking Manager from Ronspot, the company needed a fairer way to allocate parking and reduce the daily frustration caused by its first-come, first-served system.

Ronspot implemented a credit-based parking system that lets employees book spaces up to 90 days in advance, alongside an integrated ANPR barrier system connected through RESTful APIs for real-time access control and visibility. Ronspot helped SSE allocate parking fairly and transparently, eliminate the need for employees to circle the site for 20 minutes on average, and improve punctuality and congestion, while giving administrators live insight into who parked and when.
