Revalia Bio, a biotechnology company, partnered with AWS consulting partner Romexsoft to address the challenge of scaling its biomedical innovation platform. The principal challenge was deploying a multi-tenant architecture that could balance the need for strict data isolation for its clinical and organ procurement organization tenants with the requirement for cost efficiency and resource optimization.

Romexsoft implemented a solution using the Pool model of multi-tenancy with a shared Amazon Aurora database and row-level isolation. This was complemented by a dedicated Tenants microservice and a dockerized environment on AWS Fargate. The results included enhanced data security and privacy, governed scalability, improved database performance, and an efficient automated deployment process. Romexsoft's implementation provided the optimal balance of resource efficiency and necessary data segregation, positioning Revalia Bio for sustained growth.
