LearnCube reduces cloud compute costs by up to 75% with Romexsoft

LearnCube, a virtual classroom platform, faced architectural flaws in its video recording system that created a single point of failure and high cloud computing costs. The vendor, Romexsoft, was tasked with optimizing this process while continuing to use the Agora SDK for video processing.

Romexsoft implemented a decoupled architecture on AWS using Amazon SQS and EC2 Spot Instances. This solution allowed video processing tasks to be scaled independently and processed in parallel, eliminating the single point of failure. As a result, LearnCube achieved significant AWS cost optimization of up to 75%, improved application scalability, and ensured users receive their recordings within the expected time frame.
