Healthera connects 100,000 daily patients to HSCN with Romexsoft

Healthera, a leading UK healthcare marketplace, faced the challenge of integrating its platform with the UK's National Health and Social Care Network (HSCN) to expand its features for users. The obstacles included a restrictive IP range for whitelisting and complex custom DNS server requirements. Romexsoft was engaged to design and implement a secure connectivity solution using AWS services like Site-to-Site VPN and EC2.

Romexsoft solved this by establishing a highly available Site-to-Site IPsec VPN connection with dual channels and BGP routing, alongside a new proxy service on EC2 for data exchange. The result was a unified network that streamlined patient registration via NHS Login, simplified secure data sharing, and provided enhanced security through Protective DNS integration. This HSCN connectivity project, verified by AWS, successfully extended Healthera's service capabilities for its network of over 1,000 pharmacies and 100,000 daily patients.
