The evolution of bearing development: using Romax Spin for democratized bearing simulation

C&U Americas, part of C&U Group, needed a unified way to develop non-uniform angular contact wheel hub unit bearings without relying on custom code that was difficult to maintain. To address this challenge, they turned to Romax Technology and its Romax Spin bearing simulation software to support their application-specific bearing analysis.

Romax Technology implemented a standardized workflow using Romax Spin, a template model, and an Excel-based pre-processor to consistently translate customer inputs and reduce user error. The result was a democratized process that enables non-expert users to run accurate bearing analyses earlier in the design cycle, improving collaboration, reducing redesign effort, and giving C&U good correlation with its own tools while simplifying reporting and future automation.
