Meter S.p.A., part of Meter Bearings, designs and manufactures customized roller and ball bearings for demanding applications worldwide. Their challenge was to quickly create innovative, application-specific bearing designs while accurately accounting for system-level effects such as shaft and housing deflections, misalignments, lubrication conditions, and load distribution. To do this, they used Romax Technology’s RomaxDESIGNER Enterprise.

Romax Technology implemented RomaxDESIGNER Enterprise to support whole-system bearing analysis, geometry optimization, batch running, and customized reporting. The solution helped Meter S.p.A. deliver optimized designs faster, reduce manual work and the chance of errors, and provide high-quality, consistent reports that support customer decision-making. While the case study does not quantify the time savings, Meter S.p.A. reported that RomaxDESIGNER Enterprise allowed them to meet customer needs more quickly, effectively, and professionally.
