Case Study: SADEV achieves high-performance gearbox design with Romax Technology

Design and development specialists for the motorsport industry integrate Romax software for high performance designs

SADEV, a motorsport design specialist serving racing car manufacturers in Europe and the US, needed a more advanced way to optimise its transmission systems for high-performance, reliable gearboxes. To meet this challenge, the company worked with Romax Technology and added RomaxDESIGNER to its existing CATIA V5 and NASTRAN-based design workflow.

Romax Technology provided system-level simulation for the full gearbox and transmission assembly, including gears, bearings, joints, and lubrication, allowing SADEV to analyse effects such as gear tooth deflection, shaft bending, and bearing misalignment in one integrated environment. As a result, SADEV gained a higher-end design and development capability that helped it improve transmission optimisation and deliver more reliable, high-performance products, though the case study does not cite specific numeric performance gains.
