A Romax Technology Case Study
Daihatsu, one of Japan’s oldest car makers, needed to develop smaller, lighter, highly efficient transmissions and driveline components while reducing cost and shortening product development cycles. To support this challenge, Daihatsu worked with Romax Technology and used Romax Spectrum as part of its drivetrain development process.
Romax Technology implemented Romax Spectrum to build and analyse full transmission models, calculate bearing vibration from gear meshing, and evaluate NVH and component behaviour more quickly. The result was faster design-to-evaluation cycles, fewer prototypes and test iterations, improved prediction accuracy, and reduced need for additional CAE while helping Daihatsu deliver low-cost, low-fuel-consumption vehicles.
