Safran Software Solutions, a provider of project planning, scheduling, and risk management software, needed to migrate its flagship product, Safran Project, from a relational database to SAP HANA. The database was highly complex, with many data types, triggers, stored procedures, functions, and more than 500 constraints, making a manual migration risky and time-consuming.

Rolta International used Rolta SmartMigrate for SAP HANA to automate assessment, migration, remediation, testing, validation, and performance optimization. Rolta completed the migration in just three weeks, achieved 77% automation, and helped improve performance significantly—an update operation dropped from 80 seconds to under 13 seconds, contributing to an overall 83% performance improvement. Rolta also supported Safran in earning “Certified for SAP HANA” status for Safran Project.
