Bahrain’s Ministry of Works (MOW), the customer behind the Bahrain Enterprise Asset Management System (BEAMS), needed to connect four separate data repositories—asset register, document management, project management, and GIS—while keeping a single asset ID consistent across systems. The manual maintenance of cross-reference tables was time-consuming and created workflow inefficiencies. Rolta International provided the core solution, using Infor and OnPoint together as an integrated system, along with CAD import capabilities.

Rolta International implemented a solution that managed the full asset life cycle, from planning and design through construction, operations, retirement, and monitoring. The CAD import function validated drawings, extracted assets and project data, generated asset IDs, updated GIS layers and databases, registered documents, and refreshed PM records. The result was a streamlined, secure web-GIS environment that preserved MOW’s existing workflows while eliminating laborious manual asset ID and table maintenance across the four systems.
