Ashghal, Qatar’s Public Works Authority, needed a better way to manage the annual application process for infrastructure capital budgets across roads, sewer, effluent, and storm sewer systems. Rapid growth had created a flood of electronic documents and workflow materials, making it difficult to track forms, versions, and application status. Rolta International addressed this challenge using SharePoint and OnPoint™.

Rolta International implemented workflows, forms, reports, dashboards, and GIS-enabled project extents within a SharePoint portal, along with map services, searches, joins, and reporting through OnPoint™. The system went live in October 2010 and has supported two annual application seasons, helping Ashghal streamline reviews and approvals, reduce document confusion, improve status visibility, and realize cost savings with a strong ROI.
