Abu Dhabi Parks and Recreation Facility Directorate (PRFD), a municipal agency managing parks and recreation assets in Abu Dhabi, struggled to keep pace with growing volumes of paper-based processes as its asset base expanded. Rolta International identified that asset location was central to PRFD’s operations and proposed a workflow management solution integrated with GIS technology, using the OnPoint™ viewer as a core component.

Rolta International implemented a web-based portal to manage the full asset lifecycle, covering planning, design, construction, operations, and maintenance, along with workflows for licensing, permits, asset tracking, materials, documents, mail, and meetings. The solution enabled PRFD to centrally manage assets in a single system and significantly improved coordination across planning, design, construction, and operational activities through the use of GIS.
