A Roku Case Study

Preview of the Puregym Case Study

PureGym drives 963 membership purchases in 54 days with Roku

PureGym, the UK's largest gym brand, faced the challenge of building awareness and demand for its 50 new locations in New York City's highly competitive fitness market. To support its expansion, PureGym needed to reach new audiences near its gyms, re-engage interested prospects, and reduce ad waste by excluding current members. The company turned to Roku and its self-serve platform, Roku Ads Manager, to complement its existing digital strategy.

Roku implemented a two-part solution using its connected TV advertising platform. The strategy used broad-reach video ads for awareness and interactive Roku Action Ads for retargeting, which allowed viewers to sign up for a membership directly with their remote. This campaign generated 963 membership purchases at a $62.23 cost per acquisition and drove nearly 150,000 page views. Critically, Roku delivered incremental reach by exposing nearly 400,000 new viewers who were not reached through PureGym's YouTube campaigns.
