Case Study: Sandia National Laboratories achieves rapid, accurate nuclear weapons stockpile reliability analysis with Rogue Wave Software's JWAVE

A Rogue Wave Software Case Study

Sandia National Labs Uses JWAVE™ to Help Determine Status of the Nuclear Weapons Stockpile

Sandia National Laboratories needed a better way to analyze the large, complex data sets from its weapons stockpile surveillance program. The existing analysis system was cumbersome, required manual data extraction, and was too slow for engineering needs, so Sandia selected Rogue Wave Software’s Java-based JWAVE (part of the PV-WAVE family) to provide web-enabled numerical analysis and visualization that would integrate with their Java/HTML intranet environment.

Rogue Wave Software implemented JWAVE as a multi-tier, web-capable analysis platform, enabling automatic data extraction, intuitive visualization (trend analysis, regression, scatter plots, bar charts and 3‑D plots), and integration into Sandia’s Windows common operating environment. The solution delivered a cost-effective, easy-to-use stockpile surveillance testing system and produced measurable impact: tasks that once took a week can now be completed in minutes, yielding significant time savings and improved collaboration.
