Case Study: Schiller AG achieves reduced development time and MISRA compliance with Rogue Wave Software's Klocwork

A Rogue Wave Software Case Study

Preview of the Schiller AG Case Study

Reducing development time and helping to meet MISRA standards for a leading medical device provider

Schiller AG, a leading healthcare-technology manufacturer, faced the challenge of balancing rich functionality with high reliability across large C/C++ codebases (including an embedded project of over 600,000 lines). To detect defects early, meet MISRA standards, and shorten test cycles, Schiller evaluated static analysis tools and selected Klocwork from Rogue Wave Software (with implementation support from Emenda).

Rogue Wave Software’s Klocwork was integrated into Schiller’s build environment and deployed to 10 developers via the desktop analysis workflow, allowing pre‑check‑in static checks. The tool quickly identified memory leaks and other bugs, helping Schiller meet MISRA requirements, bring greater system stability, and accelerate testing—with the team reporting smoother integration, effective training/support, and clear potential to reduce development time.
