SRD, a long-established provider of identity recognition and relationship-awareness software, faced a growing need to port its ERIK, NORA and ANNA products to many hardware and database platforms to meet customer demands. To avoid diverting R&D time from core algorithms and to ensure easy updates and broad platform support, SRD selected Rogue Wave Software and its SourcePro development tools as the cross-platform, cross-database components that matched their porting and performance criteria.

SRD embedded Rogue Wave Software’s SourcePro to provide networking, threading and object-relational database components for its central messaging engine and C++ applications, enabling seamless support for Linux, Solaris, Windows, AIX and multiple databases. The SourcePro implementation reduced development and maintenance effort, increased developer productivity through reusable C++ components, sped time-to-market and lowered costs—allowing SRD to focus R&D on product innovation while meeting customers’ platform requirements.
