NetworkedAssets, a Berlin-based software house of 26 people specializing in large-scale telecom network management, faced productivity drag because their Java/JVM application redeployed in 4–5 minutes multiple times per hour, slowing their distributed Agile workflow. Rogue Wave Software’s JRebel was integrated into NetworkedAssets’ CI and build process, eliminating many redeploy waits and speeding up feedback across Spring, Hibernate, Apache Camel, GWT and other frameworks. Measured results showed mean team velocity rising from 1.97 to 2.77 (about a 40% increase); a one-tailed t-test produced p = 0.05932 (α = 0.1), supporting a statistically significant improvement, with NetworkedAssets reporting faster feedback loops and higher sprint throughput.
