A Rogue Wave Software Case Study
JOYTECH GmbH, a German IT consulting and software development firm building a new social platform, needed to detect performance and resource-usage problems early in development—issues like n+1 database queries and excessive session memory that could have caused larger problems in production. To address this, JOYTECH adopted Rogue Wave Software's XRebel profiler to catch issues immediately after testing in the browser.
Rogue Wave Software’s XRebel integrated into JOYTECH’s dev workflow and surfaced n+1 queries and other hotspots so developers could refactor promptly; as a result JOYTECH reduced session footprint by about 15 MB, fixed critical n+1 issues before they reached production, and estimates the avoided production costs would have outweighed the tool’s license by a factor of ten or more.
