A Rogers Case Study

Preview of the Tiptap Case Study

Tiptap scales to 40,000 devices with Rogers LTE-M

The Canadian startup tiptap faced a challenge as the shift to cashless transactions left charities and fundraisers unable to collect donations. To provide a secure, contactless payment solution, they partnered with vendor Rogers and leveraged its LTE-M network for connectivity.

Rogers implemented a solution using its dedicated LTE-M network, which provided a secure and instantaneous connection for tiptap's autonomous point-of-sale devices. This partnership and technology enabled tiptap to achieve significant results, with 40,000 devices in use by the end of 2021 and demand for over 125,000 more. Customers reported a 10 times return on investment and four times more donations compared to traditional cash collections.
