Yalumba’s Oxford Landing Winery Incorporates Latest in Wine Making

Oxford Landing Estates, part of Yalumba’s Oxford Landing Winery, needed an automation and process control solution that could maintain winemaking capacity despite seasonal variability and tight processing windows. To support continuous production and preserve wine quality, the winery turned to Rockwell Automation and its integrated control and visualization technologies.

Rockwell Automation implemented an Integrated Architecture using Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PACs, PowerFlex drives, FactoryTalk View SE, FactoryTalk ViewPoint, and FactoryTalk EnergyMetrix over EtherNet/IP. The solution improved site-wide monitoring, remote access, temperature control, and energy management, enabling better decision-making, faster troubleshooting, and more efficient operations; the winery also gained real-time and historical trending and reduced development time through shared data tags.
