Qualtech CIP Systems Grow with Cheesemaker Needs

Qualtech, a Quebec-based provider of stainless steel equipment, process engineering, and turnkey systems for cheese production, needed to develop cost-effective CIP systems that could grow with customers as their operations expanded. The challenge was to offer cleaning systems for cheesemaking equipment that were affordable for smaller producers but flexible enough to support future expansion, tighter resource management, and environmental requirements.

Rockwell Automation provided a scalable control platform built around Allen-Bradley CompactLogix controllers, PowerFlex 525 AC drives, and Stratix 2000 Ethernet switches. The solution helped Qualtech integrate with a wide range of instrumentation, simplify plant connectivity over EtherNet/IP, and improve flexibility for future expansion, supporting more than 150 cheese plant expansions over 20 years.
