Pulsar Deploys FactoryTalk Software for OEE Measurement Solution

Pulsar Srl, a tissue-industry machinery and systems specialist based near Bologna, needed an easy-to-modify, off-the-shelf platform to build an OEE measurement solution for its niche market. The company wanted a system that could handle the unique data-collection and integration challenges of tissue converting lines, and it chose Rockwell Automation software including FactoryTalk View, FactoryTalk Metrics, FactoryTalk VantagePoint EMI, and FactoryTalk Transaction Manager.

Rockwell Automation helped Pulsar develop its Reds Platinum System, a dedicated SCADA/OEE platform for monitoring tissue converting lines. The result was a scalable, open solution that was easier to integrate with automation equipment, delivered data quickly after deployment, and supported future IIoT and Connected Enterprise initiatives; Pulsar also cited strong global support and tighter integration as major benefits.
