Process Automation System Streamlines Production

Thermo Systems worked with Rockwell Automation to help a leading manufacturer of rare earth and metal products standardize a process control system across 14 buildings at a major mining facility. The customer needed a homogenous, sitewide automation platform and master plan to unify systems designed by multiple engineering firms while improving visibility, reliability, and maintainability.

Using Rockwell Automation process control technology, including Allen-Bradley ControlLogix controllers, Thermo Systems implemented a single end-to-end solution with remote HMIs, integrated skid/plant-floor/electrical systems, and redundant network and power infrastructure. The result was real-time production intelligence, better diagnostics and process efficiency, significantly lower training and maintenance costs, and completion of the project within the original timeframe.
