PHA Czech Deploys New Door Module Assembly Line and EOL Test Stations

PHA Czech, part of global automotive subassembly company PHA, needed a complete turnkey control solution for a new front/rear door module assembly line and end-of-line test stations. The challenge was to meet demanding production targets, improve quality and flexibility, and include full machine and personnel safety, while Rockwell Automation’s Global Solutions team handled project management, design, installation, and commissioning using Allen-Bradley products.

Rockwell Automation delivered the full solution with ControlLogix and CompactLogix PACs, PowerFlex drives, POINT I/O, PanelView HMIs, and custom C# application windows for the line and inspection stations. The result was a successfully commissioned line capable of 850 car sets per day, with scope to increase to 1,000, multiple successful OEM audits, and a flexible platform that reduced future programming effort and supports remote troubleshooting and easier maintenance.
