Latest Technology Enhances Machining of Aluminium Profiles

NHP Electrical Engineering Products worked with Rockwell Automation to help Technical Plant Services deliver a new robotic CNC machining solution for aluminium profiles. The customer’s challenge was to create a more flexible, automated system that could machine complex profiles with less manual repositioning, while supporting specialized motion control and multiple communication protocols.

Rockwell Automation provided Allen-Bradley Kinetix 5500, CompactLogix, and PowerFlex 753 products, along with the Drives and Motion Accelerator toolkit, to simplify programming, integration, and commissioning. The result was a fully functional robotic CNC system delivered in just 11 months, with improved productivity and performance, greater machining reach, faster idle movements, 3D machining capability, and reduced machining time and costs.
