INCO Engineering - Customer Case Study

INCO Engineering, a Prague-based designer and builder of mining hoists and transport systems, needed to improve the safety, reliability, and productivity of its hoist operations while supporting remote monitoring for customers around the world. In partnership with Rockwell Automation, INCO used automation products including Allen-Bradley PowerFlex drives, a CompactLogix controller, and PanelView Plus 6 terminals to support these demanding mining applications.

Rockwell Automation helped INCO implement a more resilient control system with speed control, integrated control and motion, Ethernet-based communication, and a device-level ring network for better fault tolerance. The solution reduced spare parts and cabling, improved integration, and supported INCO’s Transdatic remote-monitoring service, enabling faster issue notification and analysis to lower maintenance costs and prevent repeat faults. Through the Rockwell Automation OEM Partner program, INCO also expanded into new mining markets and strengthened its global support capabilities.
