Magotteaux, a global leader in mineral processing optimization products and services, needed a way to improve productivity by monitoring and optimizing mineral processing in real time. To achieve this, the company worked with Rockwell Automation and Manta Controls to automate its Magotteaux Mill and support its Pulp Chemical Monitor (PCM), turning a previously manual lab and process-testing system into a more reliable, reproducible platform.

Rockwell Automation provided the midrange Integrated Architecture solution, including CompactLogix, FactoryTalk View Studio Machine, and PanelView graphics, enabling easy integration, robust control, and real-time data collection. The result was real-time plant monitoring and online pulp chemistry visibility within minutes instead of days or weeks, helping reduce reagent use, lower costs, improve mineral recovery and quality, and support environmental sustainability.
