Toyota Motor Manufacturing (UK) Ltd. wanted to modernize its aging Andon infrastructure with a more flexible, open, and technology-agnostic architecture. Rockwell Automation implemented a new Digital Andon System using FactoryTalk View Site Edition, FactoryTalk VantagePoint, and FactoryTalk Historian SE, along with integrated display boards and reporting tools. The solution gave operators and supervisors clearer access to actionable data, faster root-cause analysis, and predictive insight into potential issues. Rockwell Automation delivered a scalable system that improved decision making, reduced line-stop recovery time, and contributed to estimated annual savings of over half a million dollars in related Andon reporting streams.
